Announcing a Sea Kayak Skills (SK0) Lesson on Sunday September 17th, at 10:00 am.

  These are Sea Kayak Lessons, which will give you an SK0 (good for many quietwater trips) or an SK1 if you have your R1 already. You MUST have taken a Kayak Lake Lesson and passed the swim test to take this SK0 lesson.
   
  Specifics/things to bring:
  1) Meet in the boathouse by 10:00am on Sunday. I will start with alternates at five minutes past that time, so you must come on time.
  2) Membership card so I can sign it.
  3) Plan to get wet practicing rescues. We will do wet exits. Wear warm-when-wet clothing if you tend to get cold.
  4)Bring towel and a warm change of clothes. Boating shoes are nice. Nose plugs are excellent.
  5) Sunscreen (if it's sunny outside that day)
  6) Drinking water
   
  Sign up by e-mail only. I will limit the class to the first 10 people who sign up as I will have an assistant to help.  Please let me know if you were prepared to take this lesson on Saturday DOI, as you will get priority on the sign-up list.
  Plan on the lesson to take about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
