[BOATERS] Note on proposed whitewater video series

Per Doug's message, it seems a great time of the year to watch some
whitewater videos---especially ones that cover important skills. Pool rolling and our
"indoor" season is soon upon us and we've got a great group of new paddlers
who are excited to learn more. And us "old-timers" can always learn a thing
or too to improve our skills.
So just to expand my proposal a bit, all we're looking for is someone to
organize a "video clinic" series on whitewater paddling. The club library has
some good videos; I have a bunch and I know others of you have some, too.
Topics:
--- Basic skills ("strokes and concepts")
--- Rolling
--- Intermediate/advanced river running skills
--- Playboating
--- Rescue and safety
Doug laid out the "leadership" requirements for this "trip" quite nicely.
I'll be happy to work with anyone who volunteers; I just have a lot of other
commitments that make it difficult for me to take the lead on this. We'd
probably want to space these out every 2-4 weeks.
Contact Doug or me if you'd like to take this on.
Happy paddling,
Dan
