[BOATERS] Outing Club Kickoff TOMORROW!!

The Outing Club will be holding a kickoff tomorrow, Thursday, September
21, at 7pm in Memorial Union, Tripp Commons.  Activity chairs will be
giving mini-presentations, "Hoofers: The Movie" will be shown, and there
will be lots of gear and Hoofer leaders present.  Kickoffs are a great
opportunity to sign up or renew your membership and find out more about
the club or a particular activity.  All members and prospective members
are encouraged to show up and bring along a few friends if possible.  If
you can help setup, come whenever you can between 6 and 7pm.

Even if you are new to the club or don't really know anything, letting
someone know about the kickoff or getting them to be there is a great
help.  If you're an instructor, maybe give it a mention in class.  If
you're a house fellow or close to people on your floor, mention it in the
hall or let people know you're headed to the Union and invite them along. 
If you're a working stiff like me, mention the club when your coworker
talks about their latest outdoors experience.  Even though the website,
brochures, and flyers might provde basic information about the club,
personal connections go a lot further in convincing someone to take a look
at the great experiences the Club can offer them.
