I'm going to offer a canoe lake lesson Sun April 22 @ 10:30 AM. This
lesson will give you a canoe lake rating. With this you can go on our
canoe trips.
I can fit 2 canoes on my vehicle so I'm opening this up to 3 people.
If somebody with racks signs up or wants to assist with the class I
can allow a few more people to join also.
Starkweather Creek is a slow narrow (max 10m) creek by Olbrich
gardens. You should bring your Outing Club ID, wear layers of warm
clothes suited for the weather (a rain jacket would help keep your
arms dry), and I would recommend bring a change of clothes in a
plastic bag to change into in the very unlikely case you get wet. I
will require people to keep their life vest on. We will not go onto
Lake Monona.
The lesson meets 10:30 AM Sunday 18 March at Park Street Circle,
returning by 1PM for pool rolling.
