If you'll be in town this weekend and have a mood to paddle, I want to do a Lake Columbia trip this Sunday if I can find enough people. This trip is pending water safety chair approval.

We will meet at 11am at the boathouse and should be back around 4-5pm. You need a wetsuit and a seakayak rating (SK0 or above) to come along.

Sign-up by e-mail only! When you sign-up, let me know your rating, whether you have a car with racks or not, and your phone number. I'll let you know latest Saturday evening about whether the trip is a go or not.

Things to bring with:
   - Did I say wetsuit? (If you don't have it, let me know, I might find one for you.)
  - A waterproof jacket
   - Plenty of water, some snacks and food for lunch
   - Warm hat, gloves
   - Towel, change of clothes
   - Approx. $4 for gas, $2 boat use fee
  - Are you gonna freeze? Not much! Thanks to a big power plant, Lake Columbia always has warm waters (mostly in 70's and even 80's), in contrast to very cold waters almost everywhere in WI right now. On the other hand, I wouldn't say you won't feel cold when you're changing your clothes, but I suppose that's part of the fun. :)

See you in the waters!

Cheers,
Kerem
