Hey Boaters!

Saturday April 14th (TOMORROW!!) is the National Day of Climate
Action, and we're amassing a flotilla to paddle from Terrace to
Terrace to call attention to the link between carbon dioxide emissions
and climate change.

Join us at 10 am at Memorial Union Terrace with your human-powered
water craft of choice, and we'll head down the Yahara to Monona
Terrace. After a short portage up to the Capitol building, we'll join
the other Madison Climate Day actions. We already have commitments
from canoes, kayaks, and a couple rowing shells - and a tentative
swimmer - so I hope we see you there too! (That said, the water will
still be chilly, so dress appropriately and wear your PFD!)

Check out our website - www.theCORgroup.org - for more details, or
send me an email. If people need club boats, we can make arrangements
to make this an official Hoofers trip, but we'll need someone to
manage land logistics.

About theCORgroup: As outdoor enthusiasts we're growing increasingly
concerned with the impacts of our backcountry adventures on regional
and global systems. We're challenging ourselves and others to develop
a new wilderness ethic - a frontcounty ethic - which encompasses the
full environmental footprint of our recreational and daily activities.
