[OUTING-ANNOUNCE] Kerem's going away party at Devil's Lake

Hey All,

*** This was to be a surprise party but we could not figure out how to set
up a "everyone-but-kerem e-mail" and send it to the list.  Regardless, you
should come up to the Lake on Saturday and wish Kerem good luck in
Australia!  Just so you know, he doesn't officially leave for Australia
until early September.

The rumor that has been floating around is true...  This Saturday, at Devils
Lake, there will be a SURPRISE going-away party for Kerem (a.k.a. the
Turkish Thunder)!   Come celebrate his time in the club and his impending
adventure in Australia.  Or just come to Devils Lake to spend an enjoyable
Saturday.  Some of the activities planned include SURPRISING KEREM, frisbee,
swimming in Devils Lake, sea kayaking on Devils lake, enjoying a cookout,
and all the other regular activities one can have at Devils Lake (hiking,
climbing, biking).

Here is the plan.  The main wave of people who want to get to Devils Lake to
surprise Kerem will meet at PSC at 8 AM.  We will then drive to the south
shore of Devils Lake and find hiding places in the trees, under tables, in
the water, etc.  Kerem will be scheduled to arrive at Devils Lake around 10
AM (they are leaving from PSC at 9AM).  After surprising him, we will
proceed to spend a relaxing day at the lake with an afternoon cookout
(eating around 4-6 PM).  We will return to Madison around sunset (8PM).  If
you want to sea kayak, you will need to have an SK0 rating and have passed
your swim test.  Please be aware that Devils Lake S.P. rangers currently are
not allowing pets in the picnic area, although they can be brought to the
parking lot and on hikes provided a leash is used at all times.

***Kerem just sent an email out trying to get people to go with him on
Saturday to Devil's Lake.  It would be ok if a few other people came with
Kerem at 10 am (Tiana and April are already on this list) but the majority
of people need to decline the invite to him and go early to help set up the
surprise.***

This trip will cost about $5-10 for gas and cooking/eating supplies.   We
will likely have some communal food.

Things to bring:
water
swimsuit
towel
sunscreen
hat
bug dope
hiking boots
lunch
BYOB
something that you can grill on a BBQ (meat, sausage, chicken, corn, etc.)
a side dish/dessert that you can share

I know that this is a last minute trip announcement so it may be a little
crazy to figure out the transportation logistics.  Please let us know if you
are coming by early evening (5PM) on Friday.  If you can drive, tell us
(April and Joel) how many people you can fit in your car including
yourself.  Also indicate what time you were planning to leave for Devil's
Lake.  If you are a passenger, indicate what time you would like to leave,
