Description: Hello Hoofers,
   I am planning a biking trip to the Elroy-Sparta trail between Elroy and Sparta.  It is about 35 miles from Elroy to Sparta.  We will bike to Sparta from Elroy and then bike back to Elroy again.  So it will be about 70 miles total.  This trail is very easy.  It is all paved and very flat.  Unlike mine and Brian's bike ride back and forth to Devils Lake this last Saturday.  It was a great training session and wish I hadn't planned it so last minute. I hope 6 days gives people a chance to plan more.   
  Elroy is about an hour or so away from Madison.  We plan on leaving Madison around 10 am on Saturday morning from Park Street Circle, biking for a few hours, and returning to Madison about 8 pm or so.
   The trail has three train tunnels that are .25 miles, .25 miles and .75 miles.  You will definely need a headlamp or a flashlight.  A bike will also be required since we are biking.  A few dollars for gas and food is needed.  Also some snack food for the ride and plenty of water.  I will keep people updated as I get more information.
