Calendar works now: Ice skating (free!)

Description: Okay, I've figured out why this didn't show up on the calendar... the ending date remained at the default date (posting date), which had it ending sooner than it began!

If you tried to sign up after receiving the email but didn't find it on the calendar, try again now, or send me an email to say that you would like to go.  Arrival time is flexible.  It doesn't matter much to me when I get there for the open skating (if at all), but I do need to stay through to the Ice Mite/Mite game at 2:30pm.

I'll lead a trip to McFarland Ice Arena for their "Day at the Rink," which includes free public skating 12:15-2:15pm.  And if you don't have skates, or at least don't have them with you in Madison, fear not, they're also offering free skate rental.

If you wish, stick around to watch the little ones play (2:30-3:30pm).  I coach youth hockey there and this summer I am helping to teach a skating skills program for 1999 and younger.

Since food must always be part of Hoofer events, I note that there is a Culver's nearby.  Or we could go down to the Green Lantern for a late lunch and a beverage (not the greatest beer selection in the world, but they do have a couple of decent taps, including Optimator).  We could also consider lunch in McFarland _before_ going to the arena.
