New Years paddle at Lake Columbia

Description: Lets get a jump on the 2008 paddling season by going to Lake Colombia on the first of the year.  Lake Columbia is a man made lake that is heated to bathwater warm temperatures by a huge electrical plant.

The plan is to meet at PSC at 9 am to load boats.  Then we will drive to the lake and paddle. We should get back at around 5 PM.

Requirements

A. Canoes 

Rating: at least a lake lesson and been on at least 1 trip.

Clothing: Wetsuits if you have them. Warm when wet clothing if you don't have a wetsuit. A windbreaker.  Gloves. A change  of clothing in case you get wet in a dry bag.

B. Sea Kayaks

Rating: SK1 preferable, but SK0 OK if it's only a couple of people.
Clothing:  Wetsuit AND warm when wet clothing, plus at least a wind breaker. Gloves or pogies. A change  of clothing in case you get wet in a dry bag.
