Subject: [hoofer-officers] February Letter from the President

Hello Fellow Hoofer!

I hope you're getting your chance to enjoy the beautiful (and by
beautiful I mean freezing) weather! My name is Meg, and I'm the Hoofer
Council President. Each month, I will be sending out this letter (via
email) with everything that's happening within all the Hoofer clubs
for the month. It's a chance for you to get to know what's going on,
and who's having an impact. Be sure to read about all the clubs! If
you have any questions, club websites, the general hoofer website, or
the Outdoor Programs Office should be able to answer them.

All-Hoofer Events

tradition that celebrates the winter season and Hoofer spirit.

Friday, Feb 16 – FLANNEL DAY!!!* Every Hoofer is invited to wear
flannel on Friday. There will be flannel available in the office for
anyone that doesn't own their own. The Word of Mouth Trio* and The
Lampshade Orchestra* play in the Rathskeller starting at 8 pm. (Both
bands include Hoofer members!)

Saturday, Feb 17 – Main Event – brief list of events includes:
Broomball tournament*, ice carving demo, frozen chicken bowling*, snow
sculpture contest*, ice golfing*, free hot chocolate, brat fry and
more. The night ends with the Snowball – a semi-formal dance for all
Winter Carnival participants.

*These items can earn you points toward the coveted snow cup! Register
a team with your friends! Registration starts February 12th, and it's
free! You need a minimum of 6 people per team.

Congratulations to our most recent Hoofer of the Month: Amelia Faber –
for her incredible dedication and hard work on the SNS resale.

If you would like to nominate someone for Hoofer of the Month, email
their name and short description of why to secretary at hoofers.org

CLUB UPDATES
